Arrr... Porter the Pirate

Okay, so some BIG news is coming your way!  

'Why are you patching his right eye?' -- you ask.

'That's so silly!  It's the eye that doesn't even work!'  -- you continue.

THAT'S WHAT WE SAID!!!

---But, that's what the opthomalogist told us to do.  Skeptical, we decided to patch his left eye... just to see.  (Because we can.)  How much does his right eye really see???

EVIDENTLY, QUITE A BIT!!!  

At first he cried, which was normal.  Who would want to have some obnoxious sticker on your eye.  

Then he proceeded to crawl up the stairs and scooted right to the girls' room to go harass them and play with their toys.  

Yep, seems pretty normal.  Wow, he sees pretty well!  

THE MIRACLE:  

At 9 months, a test done on Porter's eyes had no consistent results for his right eye and little for his left.  

Now, at 2 years old, his vision in his left eye is so good that he doesn't glasses.  AND, there is vision in his right eye!  The opthamologist said, "He did something that I didn't think he could do."  Not only does he have vision in his right eye, but it has become his dominant eye.  So now we have to patch his right eye to help with his lazy-left eye.
